A big thank you to everyone who entered our “favourite place at Penllergare” August photography competition! Today, Trustee, Helen Thomas, judged the entries.

Congratulations to Carole Gledhill (Brecon) for taking first prize. Her photograph titled “Dappled Pathway at Penllergare” will be entered into the annual competition where the top 3 photographs of 2013 will be made into postcards.

Congratulations also to  Janet Butt (Gorseinon, Swansea) and Vicky Davies (Gorseinon, Swansea)  for being chosen as the runners up. We wish we could share more entries with you – there really were some great ones this month. They ranged from photos of magical and mysterious trees to families splashing in the river.

Our September Photography Competition is now open. The theme is “Restoration”. There’s plenty of physical works going on on the ground so there’s no excuse for not taking any photos! 🙂  Send your entries to contact@penllergare.org with a caption, your name and contact details. Click here to find out more about how to enter. Good luck!
