A group working to transform one of Swansea’s finest beauty spots is looking for volunteers.
Penllergare Trust has come up with a volunteer wishlist to help with its massive restoration project at Penllergare Valley Woods.
The list comprises film-makers, photographers, researchers, rangers, surveyors, guided walk leaders, marketing assistants, and admin assistants.
The Trust has also introduced monthly weekend woodland volunteering sessions.
These give people busy during the week a chance to get involved with restoration and maintenance. The next session will take place tomorrow (Saturday 1st June) from 9am to noon.
Trust chairman Terry Jones said: “We are also looking for local people interested in helping us run the new visitor kiosk, which is nearing completion.
“It will be two-tiered, with toilets and a small exhibition space on one level and a small refreshments kiosk on the other.
The first introductory session for anyone interested in becoming a volunteer kiosk assistant will take place on June 5 from 10am to noon at the woodland centre.
Mr Jones added: “If you love and value Penllergare Valley Woods and want to keep them safe and welcoming for your children and your children’s children, please help us to look after them.”
